Publication DescriptionThe main objective of this thesis is to assess the effect of Bit Error Rate (BER) on the performance of OFDM multicarrier system. At first, this thesis introduces a clipping technique to reduce the PAPR of OFDM signals named as samples clipping, where the clipping is performed right after the IFFT stage, unlike the conventional clipping that is performed in the power amplifier stage, which causes in-band distortion and out-of-band radiation.

Coding is required as a simple way to correct the errors introduced by the clipping. Also, we introduce a new approach to get better performance in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER). This approach is performed by developing the cooperation between the soft channel decoding and cryptography algorithms.
