About
Electrical Engineering Department
Department Establishment:
The Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the core engineering departments
closely linked to the history of the Higher Technological Institute in the city
of 10th of Ramadan, affiliated with the New Urban Communities Development Association.
The institute and the department were established in 1988 based on Ministerial Decree
No. (1133) issued by the Ministry of Higher Education on 27/10/1988. Approval was
also granted for the establishment of the Division of Electrical Power and Machines
Engineering alongside the Electronics and Communications Division, in accordance
with Ministerial Decree No. (104) dated 16/1/2023. The activation of this division
and the implementation of its academic program are contingent upon the approval
of the relevant curriculum by the General Administration of Licensing and Follow-up,
in compliance with the accredited academic and technical standards.
Head of Department Message:
Electrical Engineering is one of the most important and prestigious engineering
fields, applying applied mathematics sciences directly, and even enriching these
sciences with innovative ideas and new dimensions that stimulate creativity and
technical innovation. From this standpoint, managing the educational process in
the Electrical Engineering Department requires the collaborative efforts of all
concerned parties: students, faculty members, their assistants, and administrative
teams, under wise academic leadership and a clear strategic vision.
We believe true transformation begins with a change in the educational mindset by
transitioning from traditional teaching to active learning, which enables our students
to effectively utilize knowledge and innovate technical solutions that keep pace
with global challenges. To achieve this, we commit to continuously updating learning
outcomes and conducting periodic evaluations to ensure the development of academic
programs that produce highly competent graduates fully prepared professionally,
meeting labor market demands and based on national and international academic standards.
In line with our future vision, we aim for the Electrical Engineering Department
to become a model of academic and research excellence by enhancing collaboration
with industry and civil society, supporting innovation and technical entrepreneurship,
and striving to obtain international academic accreditations, beyond the accreditation
by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education,
reflecting our standing as a prestigious educational institution of high quality
and global competitiveness.
We invite all faculty members, administrative staff, and students to intensify their
efforts and move forward hand in hand towards a bright future where our department
ranks at the forefront and contributes to building a generation of engineers capable
of innovating sustainable technical solutions that achieve national development
and open wide horizons for excellence and leadership.
God is the source of success.
