About the Library
The libraries at the Higher Technological Institute constitute one of the essential academic pillars supporting the educational and research process within the Institute. They contribute to providing an integrated knowledge environment that meets the needs of students, faculty members, teaching assistants, demonstrators, and staff across various engineering, administrative, scientific, and cultural disciplines.
The Institute’s libraries work to facilitate the academic and administrative community’s access to their collections and diverse services, supporting the educational system and scientific research while enhancing users’ intellectual and cognitive skills. The libraries are also committed to providing scientific and cultural books and references that attract students, encourage reading and research, and promote cultural awareness.
The libraries aim to serve as a distinguished scientific and knowledge center that supports the educational process and contributes to achieving the Institute’s mission of disseminating knowledge and serving the academic community.
The Institute’s library system consists of three main libraries:
The Central Library
The Mechanical Engineering Building Library
The Computer Science Library
These libraries collectively cover the needs of all academic departments and specializations.
The three Institute libraries offer all visitors—including students, faculty members, and the teaching support staff—the opportunity to access all available resources within each library, including books, scientific and cultural references, encyclopedias, dictionaries, theses, and scientific periodicals. The total number of items available across the three libraries amounts to 38,742 scientific and cultural books and references.
Working Hours:
All libraries are open daily from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, under the supervision of a team of qualified librarians who provide guidance and support to students, faculty members, and researchers.
The library administration is committed to regularly updating references and developing services to keep pace with academic advancements and meet the needs of education and research.
